So as you can see, there are a couple of shows with no name and ours would be one of em. Which brings me to the reason behind this blog....ANYONE GOT A GOOD IDEA FOR A SHOW NAME??? We were thinking Freeway but its just lacking the oomph we're looking for. So boys and girls, if you can pitch in some ideas, we would surely appreciate it..
I just wanna thank all the people who'd always keep me company early on a sunday morning to listen to the tunes and take part in the my show. Yes Im talking about LIFTED, my show every sunday morning at 9am. You all are the reason I can wake up early on a sunday to come to work after a long saturday night. A number of you have thanked me and praised me for the music and the advice but truth is, I gotta thank YOU...coz seriously, if it werent for you, I wouldnt bother exerting any effort. The lazy person that i am..hehe I also wanna thank the people who think that my show is worthy of competition. I heard from the grapevine that another station has decided to put up a show of the same/similar format as Lifted conveniently around the same timeslot on a sunday. I dunno if i should be threatened or flattered. hehe Anyway, for all of you who enjoy all the praise songs that Ive been inserting into the show, youre all gonna be getting more praise music as I've tied up the show with HOUSE OF PRAISE. Aint that cool?! so they'll be supplying more of your fave contemporary christian songs. So if you have any requests, anything youd like to add to the playlist, dont hesitate to let me know so i can ask for it. So there, thanks again to you all...hope youd keep joining me every Sunday morning at 9am for more of the uplifting kind of mix on LIFTED!
If you guys have maids or nannies or "boys" or drivers, I just have one tiny piece of advice that i hope you heed...Love them. Im not saying "wag po kooyaaaa!!" kinda lovin alright?!? Im sayin treat them nicely, treat them with much respect, and if you can, treat them like family. Some people I know like to shout at their maids, reprimand them in front of guests, and treat them like theyre lesser beings...but theyre not! They work to feed their families just like you. They strive to get a better life just like you. They get tired and mess up JUST. LIKE. YOU. Plus you really ought not to mess with the people you entrust your house, car, kids, belongings and food to...you can never tell what one can do if one is trapped in a corner. So LOVE THY HOUSEHOLD HELPERS... I for one have been raised to treat help like family. So when my hubby and i got a nanny, im proud to say she's one of the lucky ones. We dont ask her to do everything, we drink and eat with her, play games and watch movies with her, joke around with her, bring her to places she'd like to go, watch the shows she likes on TV with her, value her inputs, we dont scream at her (well sometimes we do jokingly and she'll shout right back) and simply put- we make her feel wanted and loved. So even if there are circumstances that makes her want to leave us and go back to the province, the fact that she enjoys what she does and who she's with makes her stay. But since i know what its like to miss your family, we ley her take a months vacation. And boy is it tough. My hands are sore from doing so much laundry, our schedules are affected, we all have to do more work..its hard but we decided to sacrifice a lil for our Margie. Man, I miss her now. Not just coz i'd appreciate some help but because I miss her as a person who i enjoyed hanging around with, sharing stories with. Thank God she wants to go back to us. So if youd want to keep good help these days and if you wanna do the right thing, see your help as people, see them as your equals, show them you appreciate their hardwork, use PLEASE and THANK YOU and again...love thy household help.
Wow, its been ages since my last post, huh? For some reason Im not feeling that guilty though since I did sorta warn you guys in the beginning that I might not always be up to date. But im feeling way behind now since youre all posting blogs, pics and reviews non stop thats why 'ere i am again.. So whats new with the show? As you all know I have been going solo for over a month now on a show thats called HANGOUT HIGH that goes from Monday to Thursday from 12-3pm. I decided to stick to my old sched since its hella convenient for me, youre all used to me being there, and well, coz my boss told me to...heheh. No new jocks to fill it up if i moved (anybody interested? ). The shows been doing alright so far. Ive got most of my segments up and running but I feel like its still a work in progress, so if you guys have any comments or suggestions, hey, feel free to hit me up.
I dont do SLIDE anymore on Fridays which sorta sucks coz thats the one day that hasnt failed to get me all energized during boardwork. But on the other hand its a good thing that I dont work on a Friday because if I did I'd be overworked and underpaid since I also work on Sunday mornings. Yep, you heard me. I got a new show every Sunday from 9am to 12nn thats called LIFTED. Its a three hour show that only plays Jam songs that are inspirational/positive PLUS I throw in a bunch of songs that arent on our regular playlist-- most of which are contemporary Christian songs. That too is still a work in progress but hey, Im getting there. Again, if youve got some songs or segments that you'd like to suggest for my LIFTED, holla back.
So thats pretty much all thats changed for me workwise over the weeks that I havent been posting. If anything comes up, dont expect me to post right away, but I WILL TRY TO KEEP YOU UPDATED.
